Kevin J. Cole, Esq.

Kevin Cole is the founding partner of KJC Law Group.  He has been litigating and trying cases in state and federal courts throughout the country since graduating in 2014 from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law.  Mr. Cole has first-chaired over forty jury and bench trials in state and federal courts throughout the United States.

During his time with the firm, Mr. Cole has first-chaired several complex civil trials, including obtaining a recent trial verdict on behalf of a global sourcing, supply chain, and logistics company in a fraud and breach of contract action in federal court in Los Angeles, California.  Among other recent accomplishments, Mr. Cole also, as plaintiffs’ class counsel, settled a multimillion-dollar class action in federal court in Florida; as defense counsel, defeated class claims in a California federal court action against a company accused of violating the federal RICO statute; as defense counsel, defeated class claims in California state court against a national telecommunications company based on employment classification statutes; and, as plaintiff’s counsel, achieved victories in two California Court of Appeal decisions (one involving exposures to Androstenedione, a California Proposition 65-listed chemical, and another involving trade secret misappropriation).

Mr. Cole is also class counsel in two nationwide class actions brought on behalf of investigators of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, in cases currently pending in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims (in Washington, D.C.).

Prior to his time with KJC Law Group, Mr. Cole served a one-year clerkship with the Honorable Eric L. Clay of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, sitting in Detroit, Michigan.  Mr. Cole then litigated complex civil litigations and appeals at the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, handling matters including class action defense for global and multinational corporations and obtaining a complete defense verdict for a major financial institution in California state court following a four-week jury trial in which the plaintiff sought $88 million.  Mr. Cole was also a criminal prosecutor, in which he prosecuted numerous criminal cases (including appeals) involving violent crimes and narcotics.

Mr. Cole represents both plaintiffs and defendants in complex civil litigation.  He practices in the fields of complex civil litigation, class actions, trial representation (including select federal criminal cases), appeals, and consumer protection & toxic torts.
